Empirical Adoption of Explainable AI and Distributed Ledger Architectures in Higher Education and Developing Public Administration

Dr. Md. Solaiman Chowdhury • Dr. Ahsan Rahman • CISR Journal of Innovation and Technology • 2026

This paper examines the institutional and behavioral determinants influencing the implementation of explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) and blockchain-enabled verifiable credentials across tertiary universities and municipal agencies in developing South Asian economies. Utilizing a stratified structural equation modeling (SEM) design across 412 academic administrators and ICT officers, the empirical findings reveal that technological transparency and regulatory congruence significantly mitigate algorithmic aversion, resulting in a 41.2% higher adoption readiness. Policy frameworks for ethical AI governance in public service are formulated.

Digital Transformation Capabilities, Industry 4.0 Readiness, and SME Innovation Performance in South Asian Manufacturing Hubs

Prof. Farzana Ahmed • Dr. Imran Khan • CISR Journal of Innovation and Technology • 2026

Small and medium manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) face distinct capital and capability constraints during industrial digital transitions. This study investigates the mediating role of dynamic technological absorptive capacity on the relationship between Industry 4.0 investments and export performance. Drawing on empirical data from 284 export-oriented manufacturing firms, we identify modular IoT telemetry and localized ERP integration as critical inflection points yielding measurable total factor productivity gains.

Algorithmic Governance and Ethical Risk Frameworks in Sustainable Supply Chain Automation

Prof. David Thorne • Dr. Lin Chen • CISR Journal of Innovation and Technology • 2026

Autonomous procurement algorithms and predictive inventory systems are rapidly reconfiguring global supply chains. However, unintended biases and opaque decision matrices introduce systemic operational and labor risks. This systematic literature review synthesizes 142 peer-reviewed articles to propose an integrated 5-layer Algorithmic Supply Chain Governance (ASCG) framework, establishing accountability protocols for procurement algorithms.

Marginal Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Bangladesh: Institutional Voids, Social Business Resilience, and Microfinance Interventions

Dr. Md. Solaiman Chowdhury • Prof. Nazrul Islam • CISR Journal of Sustainability and Society • 2026

Rural women entrepreneurs in emerging markets operate under severe asymmetric capital access and deeply entrenched socio-cultural constraints. Through in-depth narrative inquiry and phenomenological interviews with 64 rural women enterprise founders across northwestern Bangladesh, this study theorizes how social businesses bridge institutional voids. The empirical findings reveal that peer-to-peer cooperative mentoring and digital mobile payment adoption generate a resilient buffer against debt traps, elevating household reinvestment rates by 38.6%.

Circular Economy Transformation and Industrial Symbiosis in Ready-Made Garment (RMG) Value Chains

Dr. Ahsan Rahman • Prof. Eleanor Vance • CISR Journal of Sustainability and Society • 2026

Pre-consumer textile waste ("jhoot") in Bangladesh accounts for over 500,000 tonnes of discarded material annually. This paper conducts a comprehensive material flow analysis (MFA) and life-cycle assessment (LCA) across 18 textile manufacturing clusters to evaluate closed-loop mechanical recycling viability. Transitioning to localized circular industrial symbiosis reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 28.4% and creates sustainable green jobs.

Dr. Imran Khan • Prof. Tariqul Islam • CISR Journal of Sustainability and Society • 2026

Does voluntary ESG reporting signify authentic corporate environmental stewardship or symbolic impression management? Utilizing panel econometric estimations across 210 publicly listed firms on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) from 2018 to 2025, this paper investigates "greenwashing" decoupling mechanisms and identifies regulatory disclosure mandates that successfully restore stakeholder trust.
